or at least I was.... Now just plain and simple Al Mason.
Originally from the Isle
of Man, a small Island in the British Isles. A favourite
Manx Hotel right on Douglas Promenade and close to the
Nightlife is the Penta
Hotel.
I came to Cancun
in September 2005 after finishing on OP Telic 5/6, where
I was the ATLO Basrah. Before arriving in Basrah, I
had finished doing the Roulement through Al Udeid in
Qatar, as well as working with the RAF Tornado Squadron
based there, on the USAF base.
Previously I worked with Movement Control Squadrons
in Bosnia & Kosovo April 2004 - October 2004 on
Op Oculus, based in Banja Luka Metal Factory running
the Banja Luka Airport & booking office. Prior to
that I was in Belize between December 2001 & March
2004, and am very well known to all who were stationed
there during those times, as well as to the thousands
of exercise troops that visited.(I think I met most
of them again in Basrah Airport or Al Udeid in 2005).
I
gained a wealth of knowledge about Cancun, Belize &
Guatemala whilst the movement controller in Belize
at BATSUB, as well as many contacts & friends. I
arranged weekends away for the BATSUB
singlies.... the lads put a sign on the movements door,
TACWA travel agent (Take A Chance With Al). I also had
the nickname of Spanish Al, after the multitude of guys
that I bullied into attended the Spanish classes run
by the Mexican
Embassy in Belize City.

Special thanks needs to go out to Sgt "Fen" Fenwick
of the Coldstream Guards, though for predicting that
I would end up in Cancun when I finished with the Army
(although I haven't opened up Spanish Al's Bar.....
YET).
So... here was I in Cancun, upto my knees in water
after Hurricane Wilma, and wondering what to do with
my spare time !!! Easy.... build a website !!
What better market could I have than the one I have
spent years working with, and understand. That's right...
the lads & lasses in Green Kit. I've already sent
thousands of you, all over the world, whether by CivAir
or RAF.... so why change. The only difference will be,
that I'm not in my Green Kit and briefing you before
you go on your trip.

We couldn't get rid of him... or his better half Josselyn
